Hi a.l.e.,

thank you very much for your answer!

The PDF file is in a very low resolution, as otherwise it were not accepted by the list server due to its length ( more than 250 kByte ).

Inspite of it the PDF file shows correctly the rendering issue, which I have at the moment with embedding the given .png file.

This rendering issue is independent of the quality of the preview parameter low / normal / high resolution.

I see the broken lines in the trapezoid of this .png picture in the very moment, when I place it inside Scribus - and this artefact is exported to the PDF file too.

If I convert the .png file to a .tif or .jpg file, my rendering issue is not changed at all.

I could have an issue with my GraficConverter v6.7 and I will play with it to find a solution.

As I compiled Scribus 1.3.9 myself ( with your help and the patient help of others in the list ) under an operating system no longer supported, I do not want to update my Scribus installation, if I can avoid this step.
