Styles in Scribus depend on having the metrics for a particular font
style. In other words, in order to be able to use Deja Vu Sans Bold, you
must have the metrics for that, separate from Deja Vu Sans Book. Same
with Italics and so on.

Various wordprocessors will "fake" a bold font by modifying the
appearance of the Book or Regular font when the actual metrics of the
bold font do not exist. Thus when you import this into Scribus, no style
is created for that modification.

If you use Libre Office, you should make true styles from actual font
metrics. These should be imported into Scribus without problems.
