[scribus] preventing import color scheme from overwriting default

there may be an easy way to do this ... let me know if possible!

1) my workflow is that I open an existing PDF or PS document (a layout
template that I receive from publisher) and then add layers, objects etc.
Unfortunately, when I open the document, it imports its own (limited) color
scheme and I then have to remember to import my default palette from a
document I saved for that purpose. I would like to avoid the step of
importing my color scheme and have the open ... document either merge its
color scheme with my default or ignore its own color scheme (I suppose that
doesn't really make sense).

2) when, with no document open, I save color set, the set disappears and I
can't find it next time I open Scribus. 1.4.0RC3. where are these color sets
going?
