Unless your layout is quite simple, I would recommend separate processes 
for these two outputs, presumably using the same raw materials. The 
reason is that you will find that there isn't much layout in an ePub 
that makes much sense. You're mostly looking for legibility and the 
inclusion of any graphics in a way that they are useful for whatever 
reader one might use.

With a PDF, on the other hand, you have a wide range of layout decisions 
you can make to enhance the appearance, and much more flexibility with 
any included graphics.
