Never mind. Just made the switch from 1.3.3 to 1.3.8 this morning,
still feeling my way. I fought the handle thing all morning, figured it
was a new "feature". After I sent the post Scribus crashed. Started it
back up and the handles are normal. Go figure.

1.3.8 is really awesome by the way. I should have done this a year ago.
