Subject: Rectangle, text properties don't work (Mac)
Message:
Hi,
I'm new to Scribus and try to do some basic stuff. Unless I'm doing
everything completely wrong, it seems that the Mac version of Scribus I have
is broken.
- I tried to create a rectangle the way the "Scribus Basics" section
suggests. The rectangle seems to be created, but it is not possible to open
the Properties menu to modify it - simply nothing happens, no matter whether
I try it with the two-finger tap, via the Windows menu, or via F2 (i.e.,
Fn-F2).
- I tried to make a text box and modify the text in it. The text box was
created, and I was able to enter text with the default properties. However,
the only modification I could do via the Story Editor was to switch from Left
to Center Alignment. The change of font or size didn't show any effect after
updating the text box, and if I tried to change the color from black to
white, it wasn't possible to revert the change.
This is not an encouraging start. Any ideas what is going wrong here?
