The answer depends on what you consider available. The Linux 32 bit
versions will run fine on 64 bit distros. Plus, there are no 64 bit Scribus
versions for Linux. The other thing that I believe most Ubuntu users (I am
one, also using 10.10) are reticent to install unstable versions. Ubuntu
will seldom put unstable versions in their repositories and since anything
later than 1.3.3.14 for Linux is labeled unstable, we must install with
apt-get. However, I did find 1.3.8 available as Scribus-ng (meaning
unstable) and installed it through the Ubuntu Software Center. I have yet
to find 1.3.9 as it was only released in the last few days and Ubuntu is
notoriously slow in updating the Software Center list.
