[scribus] Scribus PDF not playing well with my publisher (corrected)

Hello,

I am at a loss for how to begin searching for the answer
for my dilemma, I apologize if this is easily located in the
documentation – I missed it.

I have recently completed my first book (about 130
pages – 8.5 by 11) with, I would say, moderately complex
layout – multiple columns, with either art or text boxes on
most pages. My publisher uses Adobe, but I did the layout
with Scribus. Once I had finished the document I exported
a PDF – sent it on – while the publisher added a cover,
watermark and a few other such details and then put the
PDF for sale on their website. Then someone bought it
(and even said really nice things about the content), but this
adventuresome customer noticed that there were major
problems with the layout. Text had shifted when the
changes were made with Adobe, and several text boxes
had shifted off the page and into oblivion (tentatively I
think it is text layered on images – but I am not sure of this).

While I intend to start experimenting with the object
properties of images layered under the offending text boxes,
I thought I would ask here to see if anyone had some ideas.

I have example pages with and without the problem I would
gladly share if anyone would look at them.

Thanks for your time,

Rich
