[scribus] icc printer profiles on windows

This is something I have seen on this list before and I don't understand it.  
On my machine my custom profiles for my ink jet printer show up in the Color 
Management -> Printer: drop down in Scribus.  I do notice that this drop down 
only shows CMY(K) profiles however.  But this has nothing to do with inkjet vs. 
other types of printers and my printers profile is a CMYK profile since my 
drivers support the printers native format (GutenPrint Epson R2400).  In 
addition the ICC spec does not have an "inkjet" (or anything similar to that) 
device class so how could Scribus or any other software tell what type of 
printer the profile was for?
