Thank you for your suggestion. I am actually running Windows, not Linux.
But, the toolkit site says that it is compatible with Windows. However,
after downloading and trying to install it, I can't figure out how to run
the application through Windows. Do I need to go into C: prompt to use it?

If you are using Linux, a workaround would be to save the document as a
single PDF file, then use PDF Toolkit to split it into separate pages with
this command:
$ pdftk yourfile.pdf burst
(for simplicity, change to the directory that yourfile.pdf is in, first).
You may need to install pdftk first, but it has other features, and is a
useful toolkit to have.

Although the documentation found in Scribus/doc/en/install4.html suggests
the 2.4.3. as the minimum of cmake, perhaps you might want to try
cmake-2.6.x

I would guess that's the way to use it in Windows. Try typing pdftk into the
prompt and see if you get a response.
A Windows user may be able to tell you more, or you could hunt around the
web for a Windows application with a GUI that does the same job; I bet there
are a few out there.

Yes.
If, for instance, your multipage.pdf file is in C:\temp then:
* Download pdftk-1.41.exe.zip to your computer (let's put it in C:\temp
also)
* Unzip the file giving you pdftk.exe
* Open a command prompt (start -> run -> cmd)
* Change to your file directory: cd \temp
* run the command: pdftk multipage.pdf burst
You will end up with n files named pg_0001.pdf through pg_n.pdf where n is
the number of pages in the source file.

In the destructions it says
Download and unzip the following file. Move the resulting pdftk.exe to
a convenient location, such as C:\windows\system32. Open a command
prompt and type pdftk --help. You should get the above documentation.
I suppose they say to put it there so it's in your path

I don't think pdftk is actively maintained (since 2006), and I have not
been able to build it on my system. The Makefile for Mandriva systems,
for example, asks for gcj version 3.3.2; my system has 4.3.2.

Download the Fedora 11 or 12 srpm, take it apart and there is a
reasonably good chance that you can build that.
pdftk "disappeared" from Fedora for a while, then someone reworked it to
have more up-to-date dependencies.

Mandriva 2010 provides kpdftool. I have only used it to merge PDFs, but it
does that very well. It also appears to eliminate some redundancies, the
size of the combined file is usually quite a bit smaller than the sum of the
separate file sizes.
