And I thought it was just because I was unfamiliar with it.

Thanks for the repo link.

I'm trying to following Christophe's admonition to installed Qt 4.5. From
the above repository I find Qt 4.5.2+4.5.20091201-2.1 (x86_64). But when I try
to install it I get:

There are some conflicts on the transaction that must be solved manually.

qt4-x11-tools-4.5.2+4.5.20091201-2.1-2.1.x86_64 requires libqt4-x11 >=
4.5.2+4.5.20091201, but this requirement cannot be provided.

uninstallable providers: libqt4-x114.5.3-74.3.x86_64[KDE:KDE4:Factory Desktop

<list of six Qt 4.5 packages that I cannot copy and paste>

o Following actions will be done:

<install five packages that I cannot copy and paste>

o Do not install qt4-x11-tools-4.5.2+4.5.20091201-2.1.x86_64

o Ignore some dependencies of qt4-x11-tools

Instead of selecting any of the above I hit the Cancel button.

There are a couple other Qt 4.5 packages in other repositories, but each one
gives me the same error message.

I've heard the expression "dependency hell." Have I fallen into it?
