About the best you can do in this way is to try to generate an EPS, then 
import as vector (File > Import > Import EPS/PS). This may not work 
depending on the EPS, and even so, may not be good enough quality for 
you. Alternatively if you can convert to a very large bitmap, this could 
also work.

The best font results will come from using graphics without any text, 
then adding the text in Scribus.
