To clarify these answers:
Styles are not saved separately outside of the scribus documents. Thus,
you call up a Scribus document so that you can use its styles when you
request to import styles. You do need to be wary of clashing of style names.
Admittedly, this requires some organization to recall what style is
where. If you plan ahead, you can come up with various schemes, such as
documents which have little content except for their styles, then named
in such a way that you can find them easily once you need a particular
collection of styles.
