[Scribus] troubles with Linux on PPC

I've installed Ubuntu on an old-ish iMac (after only about 87 tries
with half a dozen distros), and found myself with 1.3.3.9. I'd rather
have 1.3.4, or even 1.3.5 to toy around with. However, it looks like
the Kubuntu instructions on www.scribus.net don't work on PPC
hardware. So, I thought I'd fall back on installing from source, but
I'm not finding source for 1.3.4/5.

Can someone explain in small words where to get the source? Thanks!
