[Scribus] PAGEOBJECT not within PAGE elements in .sla ??

I'm just getting into this object model.
Is there some doc that describes any of this.

 From what you are telling me, it sounds like the 'canvas' is this  
large area onto which both pages and pageobjects are *drawn*. If a  
pageobject (aka PageItem) exists on more than one page,  there needs  
to be some mechanism for save/restore in the .sla, no?
