Let's hope they are. However, it must not be forgotten that the GIMP 
developers ignored the requirements of professional printing and colour 
managment for a long time. If you browse the mailing list, you will recognise 
that they used to respond to such requests with something like "That's the 
printer's problem, not ours".

Personally, I think the integration of Krita and KOffice is far from ideal. 
KOffice is an office suite while Krita fits into another category, namely 
creative and publishing tools. What really would be nice (though I don't 
expect this to happen anytime soon), was an integrated "Kreative Suite", with 
a DTP software (sKribus?), Krita (or KIMP?), Khostscript, Khostview, Kooka, 
KimDaBa, digiKam, and a better Karbon14 (or inKsKape?) :D
