It'll enable item based action history. Actions are shown based on the 
selected item and you only work on those actions when undoing/redoing. This 
means you can undo actions on selected item without undoing all the actions 
done after actions on the selected item. Hmm, sounds complicated but that's 
pretty much what it is. Using action history window you'll probably get the 
idea. 

When right clicking on an item, item action mode is toggled on automatically 
so doing an undo/redo from the context menu of object will only undo/redo 
last action on that specific item.
