You can make a rpm for your own purposes (a quick and
dirty solution, without package dependencies) with
checkinstall:

http://rpmseek.com/rpm-pl/checkinstall.html?hl=de&cx=857:C:0

It takes much more to build  "professional" rpm's, I
guess, you'll probably find a nice howto on SuSE
documentation site.
