That there is entirely their problem.

Craig Ringer has the same platform at his company's newspaper and I am 
sure he will if sufficiently provoked provide excruciating details 
why this is a Bad Idea TM.

The best advice I can recommend to them is to export EPS from Acrobat 
with your files and go from there.

In this situation, no matter what they say Quark 4 handling of PDF is 
completely inadequate for 2005.

My offer to pre-flight your files still stands.
