I had a look at MyOSS Magazine PDF and freesoftwaremagazine.com (done with
pdftex), and I think I see with Acrobat Reader 7 what you mean - when you
change from page to page, then page rendering of MyOSS takes place in chops
and pieces until you have the whole page, while the pages in
freesoftwaremagazine.com PDF are build up almost instantaneously and at once.

What options did you choose on export of your Scribus doc to PDF?

Yours sincerely
