[Scribus] 60 pages into templates?

Lectori Salutem, (scriptorum salutem?)

I've made a report in OpenOffice, about 60 pages. Now, I'd like to fool around with pictures, so I am considering Scribus. Now I need to import about 60 pages of text. Each page has the same layout, but 'd want to be able to edit the pages 'facing'. When I make an template with "R" & "L" pages (although quite identical), I cannot import the text automatically. I would have to make a textbox on each page seperately, and then link em al together. That's quite a lot of work for 60 pages. Is there an alternative?

Here's what I tried and didn't succeed with:
-textboxes in templates
  + won't link between eachother
+ cannot be altered after going out of 'edit' template mode

-automatic text-frames in "new" menu
+ doesn't give me identical but pages to be viewed 2 by to, it's either
+ 2 by two but symetrical
+ or identical with one large list of pages.

Is what I want imposible, or is there an solution. I am missing something?

Thanks in advance,

Maarten
