[Scribus] Scribus as a replacement for FrameMaker?

Hi,

I am not trying to give advices to solve the problem, treat what I write 
as a question... I just do not understand one thing...  I would think 
that the solution for this kind of task would be to create an XML schema 
(or use something existing - docbook?) for your kind of documents  and 
just convert it for typesetting engine, be it TeX, FrameMaker or 
Scribus... The conversion can be done by a script. I know it is simple 
for TeX, and from what I read I would not expect it to be difficult for 
FrameMaker (conversion to MIF file) and Scribus (XML). I do not know the 
internal format of these tools, so maybe there are some problems I am 
not aware of...

Then you would never have to play with manual settings...

Do I miss anything?
