[Scribus] TeX line break algorithm?

Hello Scribus community,

Are there any plans to provide a globally optimizing line break algorithm (the
Plass/Knuth algorithm, as used in Tex) for Scribus? I think this algorithm is
one of the greatest breakthroughs in high quality typesetting and I really
can't understand, why this brilliant approach is literally ignored by nearly
all typesetting computer programs. (In fact, TeX and - with a delay of over
20 years - InDesign are the only major programs that use it, AFAIK.)

In order to change this a little bit, I'd love to implement this algorithm for
Scribus (or contribute to an implementation). However, as a scribus newbie I
can't estimate yet, if I'll have enough time for this. But I still have
started to browse the sources. So far, I couldn't find the place where line
breaking is done. Can anybody give me a hint?

Thanks and bye,
Florian
