Hi all
I have not used Scribus before but used scribus-1.2RC1
to try out. The configure script cannot find the
freetype2 installed in my computer.
The error message:
checking for freetype-config... ./configure: line
3148: error:: command not found
no configure: error: You need at least freetype 2.1.0
I use Linux 2.6.7, KDE 3.2.3 and I use freetype 2.1.9
compiled from source. Freetype2 libraries are
installed in /usr/X11R6/lib. Executables in
/usr/X11R6/bin and includes are installed in
/usr/X11R6/include/freetype2/freetype/.
The freetype2.pc is installed in
/usr/X11R6/lib/pkgconfig/ and freetype-config is
available in /usr/X11R6/bin/.
I have set the PKG_CONFIG_PATH as follows before run
the configure:
PKG_CONFIG_PATH="/usr/X11R6/lib/pkgconfig"; export
PKG_CONFIG_PATH
My gcc version is 3.2.
I wonder what I have missed and could somebody please
help me to get the Scribus get compiled in my
computer?
Many thanks in advance.
Kind regards
Sagara
