[Scribus] python plugin

Hi,
I have only been looking at the python plugin now that it is included in the 
main package and I must saz it looks fairly promising. I was wondering 
though, whther I got it right, that this would only allow one to start a 
plugin which then runs until it is finished and then handing back control to 
the user (unless there is some pyqt dialogue asking for user input)? I do 
think that is great, but I thought maybe one could make it possible to have a 
script selected which onlz reacts upon certain hooks being called. As the 
main-function gets called automatically when one runs a python script 
directly, other function names could play an alike role. This could include 
something like one function being called when a new page is created, one when 
a page is deleted, one when a page is redrawn, one whentext extends a certain 
field, etc. . I was wandering whether that is feasable and if so, I would put 
it on the wish list.
