I'm trying to compile Scribus 1.1.2 on Debian Woody, but since Woody
uses GCC 2.95, I thought I should try installing a backported verision
of gcc, so I now have gcc 3.2 installed. But then I should also have qt
compiled with gcc 3.2, right? Well, I have now qt-x11-free-3.2.2
compiled and installed with
CC=gcc-3.2 CXX=g++-3.2 ./configure --prefix=/tmp/qt3.2.2/ -thread
Then when I try to compile scribus 1.1.2 with CC=gcc-3.2 CXX=g++-3.2 I
cant get scribus to find my qt3.2.2 stuff. I have tried this:
CC=gcc-3.2 CXX=g++-3.2 ./configure
CC=gcc-3.2 CXX=g++-3.2 ./configure --with-qt-dir=/tmp/qt3.2.2
but I always end up with
checking for Qt... configure: error: Qt (>= Qt 3.0.2) (library qt-mt)
not found. Please check your installation!
For more details about this problem, look at the end of config.log.
Make sure that you have compiled Qt with thread support!
