thanks for asking!<br/>
<br/>
personally, i don't think that i will be mentoring...<br/>
<br/>
... and lookign around me, i don't see who could be mentoring...<br/>
<br/>
also i don't see many projects that would fit a GSoC and can't be<br/>
defined as "let's finish a previous GSoC".<br/>
<br/>
if gsoc will be, i would prefer if the team would be looking for<br/>
students working on specific keys projects (new file format?) rather<br/>
than accepting proposition for students that have little chances to be<br/>
integrated into scribus in a timely manner.<br/>
<br/>
have a nice evening!<br/>

</div><div><br/>Hi Alex,<br/></div><div><br/></div><div>I generally agree with a.l.e. If anything, we could try to create another GSoC project for Chelen to update already existing features (in case he's interested). Mentoring should be easy, as he's already familiar with Scribus.<br/></div><div><br/></div><div>Here are some issues that could be addressed:<br/></div><div><br/></div><div>* Replace all Qt colour selectors with Scribus's (e.g., Barcode Generator, Page Colour in the Prefs).<br/></div><div>* Update the Barcode Generator to reflect its new features.<br/></div><div>* Update the Text Filter to enable import of character styles.<br/></div><div><br/></div><div>Another interesting project may be XPS export/import using Ghostscript 9.x.<br/></div><div><br/></div><div>Just my 2 ct.<br/></div><div><br/></div><div><br/></div><div>Christoph<br/></div><div><br/></div><div><br/></div></div></body></html>
