[scribus-dev] merging / pasting when styles conflict

Hello Franz, Jean and Craig,

When importing pages from a document A into document B
OR when copying an object in A and pasting it into B
and later retrieving it in B
OR when moving an object into the scrapbook in A
and later retrieving it in B

then the destination document B's layout is sometime totally messed.

It seems that this mess happens due to styles conflicts
when different styles use same name in both document A and B.

AMOF, Scribus seem to manage part of the conflict,
but not totally, or buggyly, as long ago

This deceiving behaviour was recently spoted in debian bug tracker
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=800778
And AMOF, IMO this is one of the 10 most annoying lasting bugs.

It seems that scribus does some name-conflict management,
as i try to describe in http://bugs.scribus.net/view.php?id=11420
but this management requires being fixed.

Would one of you tackle that issue ?

JLuc
