Thanks to the three who answered. All variants
recommended seem to work. The files resulting
both say they are 1.5.1 but with different dates
and version numbers. The target directory is 
/usr/local/bin/scribus15n/bin
which is the same directory where the script
provided by jluc deposits its result.  
The two files in that directory, 
scribus-1.5.0.svn
and 
scribus-1.5.1.svn

were both versions of 1.5.1, per the flash
screens, 20112 and 21035 respectively. 

Currently my overnight copy of lucscript also
yields Scribus 1.5.1 version 21035.
I will continue to use version
20112 for production work but I will still run
the jluc script nightly to keep up with the
neighbors :<)
