Hello,

sorry, I didn't intend to write to the mailing list at first, but couldn't find an impressum or e-mail-address of the Scribus.net-webmaster.
I looked around at the blog (rants.scribus.net), but all weblinks (Home, About, Links, Contact) lead nowhere. :-(
So I write to "all".

To begin: I'm interested in DTP and googled for "scribus dtp", as I remembered that name from the German computer magazine c't.
The link I took sent me to the starting page of the German online documentation:
http://docs.scribus.net/index.php?lang=de&page=index

This page almost kept me from trying Scribus, because it left me with a lot of questions ...

- The bold headline reads *Open Source Desktop Publishing für Linux*
Only Linux? You have to read a while to find about the other platforms inluding Windows & OS X.

- The version history at the bottom stops at 2007.
Has the development ceased? (No, but it looks that way.)

- The link to "Screenshots" is empty.
"You have requested a file thats does not exist..."
How does the GUI look like? What features does it have?

- The German mailing list linked under "Kommunikation" is not alive:
  "No such list: scribus"
   http://nashi.altmuehlnet.de/mailman/listinfo/scribus

- Where can I download the software?
An obvious link back to the main page www.scribus.net or
  http://wiki.scribus.net/canvas/Download would be fine.

I'm sure Scribus is a great software, and I will try it!
But perhaps you could fix some points on the site?

Regards!

Dirk Schoettler
