There are quite a few "graphic trade shows" where we could have a presence.
These events take place periodically, often in the same city, so the
industry people know the event and expect it to happen over years. Some of
those events are known internationally, like DRUPA. Chicago, Toronto and
Montreal have their own trade show. And I am sure that there is at least one
in many countries. Having a booth to showcase the FLOSS alternative would be
a smart move. The real question is more about human resources.
I think we should consider participate to DRUPA next year since this
particular event only takes place every 4 years.
We should contact the organizers (might be pretty late at this point in time
but worth to try imo) and try to negotiate a special price for a booth. In
any event, we could brainstorm a bit over ideas like this. We could be
invited by a government, a city.
