You can tell I don't use word processors, eh?  (I use LaTeX for letters.)

I don't, and those who will most likely use this template don't either.

Maybe -- if Inkscape can export our logo to ODT without issues. I also wrote that the template has been created for an ODT-compliant word processor, not only for OO.o. We shouldn't make this unnecessarily complicated by using a format that can't be reliably imported by some programs.

This is really irrelevant here. Any average office printer will print the logo with sufficient quality. Moreover, a court, the tax office or whoever will receive a printed letter simply doesn't care about the quality, so, to be honest, I think this discussion leads nowhere for the time being, especially since any member of the managing committee can replace the bitmap logo with a vector version, as long the used word processor supports the format.
